Instagram rolled out a new update of its app with an added feature. Now users can access multiple accounts at the same time without logging out of their accounts. Previously users had to log out from one account and log in again to access some other account. Many users demanded this feature to be added because it was pretty annoying to log out and log in and finally Instagram team listened to its users.
The latest update has been pushed for both Android and Apple devices and users can download it directly from Google Play and App Store respectively. There is a limit on the number of accounts a user can add. Currently it has been set to 5. Twitter’s official app had this feature for quite some time now and I am glad it has been added to Insta as well.
It’s really very easy to add accounts in the app. Just click 3 dots on the top right bar of the Instagram app which will open settings screen. Then scroll down and you will find a label saying ‘Add Account’. Click on it and you will be redirected to Instagram’s login screen. Enter your credentials and done. Instagram is following its normal process of adding multiple accounts so don’t worry, you will be guided properly by the app.
This update was rolled out on April 21, 2016. I have been using it for 2 days now and found it pretty impressive and convenient to use. Whenever a notification arrives, the app switches automatically to the relevant account. So, it’s pretty handy to use. You can easily switch to different accounts by tapping the name flashing on the top bar of your Profile screen.
